I feel inspired again to create art.

After a long while, I've finally felt inspired the other day to create art. Drawing is one of those things that I have to be in a very particular mood to do, so in effect I sometimes can have some very long stretches of not being artsy. I love to draw and I love the feeling of going from a blank sheet of paper to a finished work of art in a day or so. This is a charcoal drawing and the dimensions of the drawing are 18"x24"-a little bit larger than what the picture shows. Hopefully I'll continue to feel inspired and start drawing more.

Some people just have good faces...

Like this guy.  I liked the hat, glasses combo and some people are just REALLY pretty.  I like the challenge of taking a photo and trying to recreate it with pencil.  Pencil provides the opportunity to get really detailed with the drawing because I have different pencils for different shades and also for fine lines vs. broader lines.
